Despite all that activity as a kid, I struggled with my weight. Weight loss and healthy living didn’t come as natural to me as staying active did. Like many kids, I had horrible eating habits that consisted of fast foods during my teen years. That added a lot of unhealthy and wasteful calories to my diet.
Think of it. Hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, tacos…you name it, I ate it! All that unhealthy food went into my body and created a wasteland that my body had to work overtime to clean up. Bad nutrition eventually took its toll on my body and by the time I was in my early 20s I’d gained even more weight and began to get frustrated!
What’s worse is I developed a health issue that startled me. I began to have stomach problems that slowed me down. I was no longer able to exercise like I used to do. I was young and wasn’t sure what was causing my stomach problems so I continued the status quo, eating the same unhealthy diet I’d been having for years!
It didn’t take long for my excess weight to drag me down. I had no energy. I didn’t fit into my clothes and I began to doubt myself. I wondered if I could ever get back to the fitness level I was at and how I’d get there.
That was when I decided to make a drastic change in my life. I was determined to lose all that weight I’d gained and get my body back in top form. I figured the only way to truly learn how to fix my weight and health problem was to learn how to train and become fit.
So I enrolled in a personal fitness training course and loved it! I completed my training and got my certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I was determined to use my knowledge to get myself back into shape! And it worked!
A Change that Transformed My Body and My Life!
That one change made a world of difference in my life. I not only started burning fat but I saw a transformation in my body and my spirit. My self-esteem began to soar!

"Discovered My Inner Jock"
When I started taking kettlbell class I was really out of shape and could barely lift even the lightest of kettlebells. One of the great things about the workout now is how strong I feel. I was always a big girl. You know. That super tall, big boned, "my, what a pretty face she has," type.

Well, all that changed last year when I finally got my butt in gear and dedicated myself to training with Griffin White.
I am a changed woman and while I went from a size 12 to a size 8, from 180 lbs to 159 lbs, I am still a tall curvaceous hour-glass 5'8" woman and each day is a test.

In August 2007, I had a body composition analysis and was surprised to see how high my body fat percentage really was. Shortly afterwards, I increased my training regimen with Griffin White by signing up for a kettlebell class. I have been attending religiously ever since and frankly, the results in my overall health and how I look have been amazing!

"Standing Taller and Confident"
When I first met Griffin, he had been assigned to me after I had burned through two other trainers in a matter of months. The first trainer did not respect my limits and I ended up with a cracked rib. Yeah, crazy right? The second trainer just flaked out on appointments.
I could barely do a single push-up and a "lunge" was a move that I made to grab a bag of Skittles or a Big Mac, as Griffin started training me. My family and friends playfully mocked the belly that I had acquired. At that time, I was at the heaviest weight that I'd ever been, had terrible posture and very little strength.
With Griffin's guidance, I've begun to stand a little taller – not just physically, but from a point of total confidence in me. I dropped from a size 32" waist to size 30" waist, a size that I've wished to return to, but hadn't seen in many years. My diet is more sensible, and I feel more in control.
The changes since training with kettlebells have been fantastic. The kettlebell's dynamic, total-body movements allow me to focus on strength, endurance and balance, all in one workout. Best of all, I've noticed defined results in all areas, thanks to Griffin's patience, guidance, and expertise with kettlebells.

"From Baby Weight to Bikini Body!"
Griffin's Kettlebell class is a great intense strength training/cardio work out. It's much better than lifting weights at the gym. I definitely feel I work harder and get a better work out. The first time I took Griffin's class I didn't realize how much you work out your legs and at the same time you are working other muscles. Some of Griffin's training techniques reminds me of advance yoga moves because of the added kettlebell weight and opening up your chest. It's a great way to shock the body and see quick results. My goal was to lose my pregnancy weight and get back into bikini body shape as quickly as possible and taking Griffin's Kettle Bell class was the perfect exercise that allowed me to do this. Don't forget your towel you will need it!

I have been attending this Los Angeles kettlebell class and my body has totally changed! Since starting class I have now lost over 23lbs.
